Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (born 1949), 
a French fashion designer, 
designer, author and costume designer.

On these two stamps, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac
has designed two stylized faces in profile, 
touching their respective nose, reminding an Eskimo kiss,
hence the French pun "exquis mots" included in the
margin of the "hearts" stamp above to the right (€ 0.68, print run : 3,000,000).
The other stamp (€ 1.15, print run : 1,800,000) features 
the same kiss scene with stars replacing hearts.

On the necks of the two characters, the sketched
hands recall the wings of the "dove of peace" by Picasso.

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has created these stamps using
the flagship colors that symbolize his work 
and universe : blue, yellow and red.
